Crossroads Adult Transition Center (ATC)
WestCare Illinois (WCIL) began providing substance use disorder services within The Safer Foundation’s Crossroads Adult Transition Center’s 330-bed facility on Chicago’s west side in 2011. Using 50 beds within this larger facility, the Modified Therapeutic Community (MTC) model is well-suited to serve this residential population. The WCIL program provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance use disorder services for men participating in the Crossroads work release initiative.
Treatment services are evidence-based, trauma-informed and age-appropriate. Services include substance use disorder education, group counseling, monthly individual counseling and reentry planning. Progress is regularly monitored to ensure that each client is able to meet the goals and objectives identified in his treatment plan.
